Rochester Brigade News Release
(Rochester, NY)- The Rochester Brigade has announced the 2003 regular season schedule, alerting all Rochester fans that the Brigade is back for more high scoring, helmet popping professional football excitement.
The playoff tested Rochester Brigade will kickoff their third season in the af2 and second season of play in the Northeast Division, consisting of the Albany Conquest, Mohegan Wolves and the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Pioneers. The Brigade will face each of their divisional opponents in a three game home and home series.
The battle of I-90 returns as the Brigade hosts the Albany Conquest on Saturday, May 17, for their first meeting since the Conquest knocked the Brigade out of the 2002 playoffs. The Brigade will then head down I-90 for additional encounters with the Conquest on Saturday, May 31, and Saturday, July 19. The action will only intensify as the Brigade has two opportunities to defeat their bitter rival the Richmond Speed for the first time in franchise history when they meet in Rochester on Saturday, May 10, and then in Richmond on Friday, May 23.
The Brigade will also square off against the Greensboro Prowlers on Friday, June 13, and will look to take the series lead as the two teams are knotted at 2-2 over the past two seasons. Other non-divisional games include a head-to-head match-up against the Norfolk Nighthawks who lead the series 1-0 and the Columbus Wardogs, who the Brigade will face for the first time in franchise history.
