Boston Breakers vs LA Sol

Breakers Set to Host Marta and First-Place Sol

In a match featuring the league's top two goal scorers, WPS Player of the Month Kelly Smith and the Boston Breakers host three-time reigning FIFA Women's World Player of the Year Marta and the first-place Los Angeles Sol, Saturday at 7 p.m. at Harvard Stadium.

The Boston Breakers will be looking to bounce back after dropping a 4-0 decision at Chicago last weekend. The loss dropped Boston to third place in the standings, four points behind Los Angeles. It will be the Breakers' first match at Harvard Stadium since their 2-0 win over Saint Louis Athletica in the team's home opener on April 11.

Los Angeles dropped their first points of the season after being held to a 0-0 draw at Saint Louis last weekend. Both goalkeepers, Karina LeBlanc (Sol) and Hope Solo (Athletica) saved penalty kicks in the second half to preserve the clean sheet. Los Angeles was missing the services of three players, Marta (Brazil), Camille Abily (France) and Han Duan (China), who were all playing with their respective national teams last week.
