Brampton A's To Host 3-on-3 Community Event

August 11, 2014 - National Basketball League of Canada (NBL Canada) - Orangeville A's News Release

The Brampton A's will be hosting a 3-on-3 basketball tournament in conjunction with a community event on Saturday, August 16th at the Powerade Centre in Brampton. As community ambassadors they felt a need for a call to action to help those most affected by a devastating fire in the Ardglen Community at the beginning of the summer. The vision of the One Team, One Community 3-on-3 Basketball Tournament is to create an annual event that brings together all of Brampton communities, cultures, religious backgrounds, youth, families, athletes, and more. In addition to the 3-on-3 tournament on Saturday, there will be a free family community event which will include community groups, fun games, local entertainment, and a variety of vendors.

The mission is to raise money for the Ardglen community and send kids to camp, by partnering with Free For All Youth Foundation- http://www.ffaf.ca.

Team registration is $75 and each team can be made up of 3-4 players. Any community member not entering the tournament is encouraged to stop by for a day of family fun, consisting of vendors, prizes, and activities! A $2.00 donation will be requested upon entry, which will be added to the money raised from the 3-on-3 team registrations, and donated to FFAY. Teams can register online at www.bramptonas.ca
