Orangeville A's News Release

Brampton, ON - The Brampton A's have announced the signing of their 2014-15 NBL Canada Draft picks, adding athleticism and depth to the second year franchise.

Dylan Brewer, the first round pick will be joining the A's from York College in Nebraska, where he had a stellar 4 year career. Brewer, a 6'3 point guard averaged over 18 points per game his senior year and assisted his team in a successful campaign.

GM/Head Coach David Magley on Brewer, "Dylan is a player with a great feel for the game and a flair as well.  He no doubt will be a good pro and can be developed into a real asset."

Yvon Raymond, the second round pick will be joining the A's from NCAA Division 1 Saint Peter's University.  As a senior at Saint Peter's Yvon averaged over 10 points and 5 rebounds per game.

GM/Head Coach David Magley on Raymond, "Yvon is a very nice athlete who has played at an excellent level.  His passion for defence stood out at the recent NBL Canada combine and I am confident that he can contribute on several levels."

Rashad Chase, the third round pick is a more seasoned professional player. Chase is a graduate of NCAA Division I Georgia State University, where he was a four year starter. From there he went on to play professionally around the world, over the last four years.

GM/Head Coach David Magley on Chase, "Rashad is a veteran with a great work ethic. His body type at 6'8, 250 lbs is something that can be leveraged to guard most of the bigs at this level, this is something we did not have last season."

Brewer, Chase and Raymond will join the rest of the A's players for training camp October 1st.

The A's will kick off their season October 21st, with a "Toonie Tuesday" pre-season game at home, where fans will get in for just $2. The regular season starts as the A's host its Peel rival, the Mississauga Power, Saturday November 1st, 7pm at the Powerade Centre
