Brampton A's Make History with 1st Female Announcer

ORANGEVILLE, Ontario. - The Brampton A's have made NBL history in naming Meghan McPeak as their play by play announcer for the franchise's inaugural season streaming on McPeak becomes the first female announcer in the three-year history of the league.

She is no stranger to the microphone; McPeak's previous experience includes being the play-by-play announcer for the Men's and Women's Basketball programs at McMaster University, where she has been heard for the past four years on 93.3 CFMU and Cable 14 in Hamilton. McPeak is a former varsity basketball player from Humber College in Toronto, ON and a graduate of Humber's Radio Broadcasting program.

The A's are thrilled to have her join their team of game day operative's and professionals that promise to make their home games memorable and entertaining events.

A's General Manager and Head Coach David Magley is excited to have her as a part of the team, "On behalf of our organization; we are proud to have Meghan on our team, we believe big things are in her future." The A's first pre-season game is October 25th at 7:00 PM at the Powerade Centre against the Ottawa SkyHawks. The A's will take the court again on Sunday 27th @ 2:00 PM at Budweiser Gardens against the NBL's two-time defending champions the London Lightning. The Brampton A's will begin their inaugural season on November 1st, with their home games beginning on November 15th & 16th at the Powerade Centre, where they will play all their home games for the 2013- 2014 season.
