NORTH RICHLAND HILLS, Texas (November 8)-One goal wouldn't be enough for the Brahmas against their I-20 rivals as Texas lost 2-1 Sunday afternoon at the NYTEX Sports Centre.

It was game number four in six days for Texas and the fatigue was evident in the first period as the Brahmas had troubles keeping the play out of their own zone. Bossier opened the scoring gate when Neil Clark from his knees beat Brett Jaeger with five minutes remaining in the first.

Things didn't get much better for the 2009 Champs when miscommunication between Texas blueliners Craig Minard and Justin Kinnunen gave the 'Bugs a 2-0 lead with Travis Clayton collecting his second goal of the season. A shot of life appeared at the 11:05 mark in the middle frame when Brahmas star rookie, A.J. Gale added another goal to his league leading rookie scoring with his seventh of the season to put the Brahmas within one.

But tired bodies were unable to get things done on home ice as Texas dropped a game to the Mudbugs 2-1. The Brahmas powerplay could not get on the same page going 0-for-6 with the man advantage and goaltender Brett Jaeger stopped 25 of 27 shots.

On Wednesday the Brahmas will jump on the bus for a little Metroplex match against new cross town rivals, Allen Americans at 7:30 PM. Fans can catch all the action online on CHL-TV

* The Brahmas honored the 2009 Championship team prior to faceoff Sunday, handing out the Championship Rings in a special presentation.
