Boswell Suspended For Additional Game

Published on May 22, 2013 under Major League Soccer (MLS) News Release

NEW YORK - The MLS Disciplinary Committee has suspended Houston Dynamo defender Bobby Boswell one additional game and fined him an undisclosed amount for violent conduct that endangered the safety of his opponent, New England Revolution forward Dimitry Imbongo in the 39th minute of their game on May 18.

Boswell was issued a red card for the offense, and the Committee unanimously determined that Boswell's head butt was an egregious act that required further sanction. Thus, Boswell will serve a total suspension of two games - this Sunday at Sporting Kansas City and June 1 at the Columbus Crew.
