A few notes from the Boston Breakers as we close out 2011 and prepare to make a run at the WPS championship in 2012!
Season memberships: Renewals for season memberships continue until Dec. 30, 2011. Go to www.breakerstickets.com and answer the questions that are provided on the website. Make the Difference!
League news: On Dec. 13, 2011, U.S. Soccer sanctioned Women's Professional Soccer for the 2012 season. The league will proceed with five teams in 2012 - the Boston Breakers, Atlanta Beat, Philadelphia Independence, Sky Blue FC, and the Western New York Flash. The 2012 WPS Draft will be held on Jan. 13, 2012, at the NSCAA Convention in Kansas City. WPS will release the 2012 regular season schedule in February, and the league will take a short break during the 2012 Summer Olympic Games.
Office hours: The Boston Breakers office will be closed from Thursday, Dec. 22 through Monday, Jan. 2. We will return to the office on Tuesday, Jan. 3, 2012. Tickets can still be purchased online at www.breakerstickets.com and the Breakers staff will be available via email. Office voicemails will be checked periodically.
