Boston Blizzard Hold Tryout Camp

September 26, 2007 - American Basketball Association (ABA)
Boston Blizzard News Release

Boston, MA. After a quick transition of ownership and management, The Boston Blizzard have immediately announced the 2nd Boston ABA tryout and their first as an organization. It will be held at the Shelburne Community Center in Roxbury, MA - the Heart of Boston - on October 6th from 12n-6pm. Notice: PLAYERS FROM THIS TRYHOUT WILL BE PICKED FOR THE UPCOMING SEASON.

"This is where I learned to play basketball," said co-owner Eggie McRae. "I am thrilled to bring ABA basketball back to Boston. I am proud to have it on one of the most storied courts in Boston as well as to be able to play in a newly commemorated Alfreda Harris gymnasium. Also, this is not only a tryout, it is a way we can give back to the community and bring it together simultaneously."

"We are looking for a tremendous turnout," added Jon Lee, part of the new management team. "There will be a lot more than basketball as we are meshing entertainment and community involvement into the exciting ABA family atmosphere. We are all looking forward to the season."

The final roster will be picked from the players that will participate in the October 6th tryout and will be asked to return for a series of exhibition games and practices in the following weeks before the first home game on November 3ard against the Quebec Kebekwa.

Registration for the tryouts is $50 the day of the tryouts and $35 for pre-registration.
