SAN BERNARDINO, Calif. - Home runs by Derek Fisher and Chase McDonald backed a quality start by Akeem Bostick as the JetHawks took the series with a 5-2 win over the Inland Empire 66ers on Thursday night at San Manuel Stadium.

Fisher homered in his second straight game for the JetHawks (59-57), and Mott Hyde went 3-for-4 to extend his hitting streak to 14 games.

Bostick (4-4) held the 66ers (57-57) to two runs on seven hits over six innings. The right-hander struck out four and walked two. Michael Freeman tossed three scoreless innings of relief and earned his second save.

Lancaster took a 2-0 lead on Fisher's two-run homer off Victor Alcantara (6-10) in the second inning. Inland Empire responded in the bottom half with a RBI-double by Angel Rosa, but McDonald hit a two-run home run to left field in the third to extend the JetHawks' lead to three.

Alcantara struck out six but walked four and received the loss for the 66ers, yielding five runs on four hits over 5.2 innings of work.

Kody Eaves led off the bottom of the fourth with a triple and scored on a Roberto Baldoquin single, but the 66ers would not score again. The JetHawks' final run came on a Hyde RBI-single off reliever Eduardo Paredes in the top of the sixth.

After taking over for Bostick, Freeman retired the first eight batters he faced in relief for Lancaster before allowing his only baserunner on a two-out single by Rosa in the ninth inning.

The road trip continues on Friday as the JetHawks open a three-game series against the San Jose Giants. Bryan Radziewski (3-5, 4.16) will start for the JetHawks while Tim Hudson will make a rehab start for the Giants. First pitch is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Municipal Stadium.
