Schaumburg Boomers News Release
SCHAUMBURG, Ill. - The Schaumburg Boomers, presented by Wintrust Community Banks picked up where they left off Friday night, failing to score against the Washington Wild Things in a 5-0 loss.
Boomers starter Brett Mabry looked strong in his first two innings of work, retiring Washington in order. The Wild Things put up a four spot in the third featuring a two run double by Bryan Haar, his sixth RBI in the series.
Paul Kronenfeld led the Boomers with two doubles in the otherwise quiet showing for the Schaumburg bats. Mabry worked five innings and left the game in the sixth inning after being struck by a line drive.
The Boomers look to salvage a win out of the series Sunday night at 6:30 p.m. with Josh Heddinger on the hill. Ensure your place in the fun at Boomers Stadium this summer by calling (847) 461-FOWL (3695). Hear all of the action on AM 1410 WRMN with the voice of the Boomers, Tim Calderwood.
