
Boogaard's "goal" helmet up for auction

HOUSTON, Texas - The Houston Aeros have announced that an autographed helmet worn by Derek Boogaard when he scored his first Aeros goal is up for auction on www.aeros.com.
Proceeds from the auction benefit Houston Aeros Charities, and this is a tax deductable item.
The auction ends May 20 at 12 p.m. The opening bid is $200, with bid increments of $25.
Boogaard is a 6-foot-7, 270-pound left wing from Melfort, Sask. "The Boogeyman" has one goal, eight assists and 466 penalty minutes in 119 games over two seasons with the Aeros. His goal came Easter Sunday against Grand Rapids.
