HUNTINGBURG, Ind. - Kolin Conner had another seven-RBI game, powering the Dubois County Bombers to a 17-12 win over the Hannibal Cavemen Wednesday at League Stadium in Huntingburg, Ind.

His third-inning grand slam put the Bombers ahead 6-2, and he followed with a three-run double an inning later.

The Bombers also used a five-run seventh to attain a 16-4 lead, but they labored through an eight-run Hannibal eighth that narrowed the margin to 16-12.

Dubois County starter Alex Britt earned his third win, pitching seven innings and allowing three earned runs (four total).

Casey Devlin entered the eighth inning but struggled with control as he allowed five runs - three earned - while only retiring two Cavemen.

John Rashid allowed the next two batters to reach and then gave up a grand slam to Zach Nichols that forced Ryan Billo to come in and get the final out of the eighth.

After Dubois County tacked on another run in its half of the eighth, Nick Green pitched a scoreless ninth to close out Hannibal.

Tyler Stuerman took the loss for the Cavemen, allowing 11 earned runs in four innings.

Tyler Watson relieved Stuerman and worked two and two-thirds innings before being pulled in favor of Jake Wolf. Watson allowed five runs, but only one was earned.

The Bombers held leads of 2-0, 6-2, 11-3 and 16-4 before Hannibal made it close near the end.

The Bombers head to Springfield to play two against the Sliders Thursday, July 5, and Friday, July 6; both games start at 7:35 p.m. Hannibal hosts Quincy for a pair those same evenings.
