Bombers Announce Coaching Staff For 15th Anniversary Season

Dayton, OH â The Dayton Bombers of the ECHL on Tuesday announced DON MACADAM will return as head coach, and former Bombers forward COLIN MILLER will join the staff as a full time assistant coach.
MacAdam, 54, came to Dayton last season after four years as the GM and head coach of the ECHL's Charlotte Checkers. Prior to joining the Checkers, MacAdam served as a consultant for Canada's World Championship Team. He also worked as the head coach of the Nippon Paper Cranes in the Japanese Ice Hockey League, associate coach of the International Hockey League's Milwaukee Admirals, and head coach of the AHL's Prince Edward Island Senators and Cape Breton Oilers. He began his professional coaching career with the Detroit Red Wings in 1986.
"I am committed to building a strong foundation so this franchise will flourish in the future", said MacAdam. "Dayton deserves a winner, and it's time to produce results both on the ice and in the community".
Miller, 33, started his professional playing career in 1992 with the International Hockey League's Atlanta Knights. He played seven seasons, including four with the Dayton Bombers from 1995-1999. His best professional season was 1996-97 when he recorded 20 goals and 78 points in 68 games with the Bombers.
"This is an excellent opportunity for me to work with an experienced coach like Don", said Miller. "I know the ECHL and, hopefully, I can be an asset behind the bench for this organization".
Both coaches will be available for interviews at Buffalo Wild Wings (BW3) on Centre Drive near the Fairfield Commons Mall in Beavercreek today from 6:30 â 8:00 PM.
