
Bombers Add Linebacker to Practice Roster

WINNIPEG, MB. October 10, 2014 - The Winnipeg Blue Bombers today announce the addition of international linebacker Will Smith to the club's practice roster.
Smith (6-2, 220, Texas Tech, January 13, 1992, in Riverside, CA) played for the Red Raiders from 2012 to 2013 and was named to many different All Big-12 teams. His career at Texas was highlighted by being named the 2013 Holiday Day Bowl MVP, and a 2013 game against rival Texas, where he recorded 18 tackles. Smith was selected by Dallas in the 7th round (238th overall) in the 2014 NFL Draft. He was waived in August, however, at the end of camp was signed to the Cowboys' Practice Squad.
