(Boise, ID) - Boise Burn defensive back/kick returner Terrence Sanders has been named the af2's JLS Ironman of the Week for his efforts Saturday night at home against Amarillo.

The second-year Burn standout returned two kickoffs for touchdowns, intercepted a pass, and recorded four tackles in Boise's 51-40 victory. A third kickoff return for a score was negated by a Burn penalty.

For the season, Sanders (Eastern Illinois/Palmetto, FL) is leading the Burn in interceptions (6) and tackles (54.5). He's also averaging 32.1 yards per kickoff return, which would lead af2 if he had enough returns to qualify. He has five kickoff returns for scores on the season.

"I don't know of a weakness that the guy has," head coach Brent Winter said of Sanders. "He's one of the more complete football players I've been around in my coaching career."

Sanders also earned Ironman of the Week honors for his April 25 performance at Central Valley.

The Burn (7-2) remains in Boise this weekend to host Central Valley (3-6) on Saturday night. Gametime is 7:10 PM at Qwest Arena. It's the first of two 4-for-$44 promotions for the Burn where fans can purchase four tickets, four Pepsis, and four hot dogs for just $44. Tickets are available by calling the Qwest Arena box office at 208.331.TIXS or visiting www.boiseburn.com
