
Bobby Purify Announces Retirement

Fort Collins, CO- Colorado Ice running back Bobby Purify has announced his retirement from the Colorado Ice Organization and the Indoor Football League (IFL). Before coming to the Ice, Purify spent time in the NFL as a member of the Green Bay Packers and San Francisco 49ers.
Purify stated the following, "After considerable deliberation I have decided not to return for the 2011 IFL season. At this time in life I am pursuing other opportunities. I have been blessed with the opportunity to play at every level of the game and will miss the fans and camaraderie of the players and coaches."
"Bobby was a great asset to the Ice organization this past season and will be missed by all those involved, especially the fans." stated Head Coach Collins Sanders.
Purify's talent was evident as he had one of the most productive statistical seasons ever for a Colorado Ice running back. He played in all 14 games for the Ice proving to be an offensive force. On the season, he amassed 305 rushing yards with 13 touchdowns while also having 48 receptions for 412 yards and 9 touchdowns. He finished the season ranked #1 on the team in total yards (717) and touchdowns (22).
Bobby was a great representative of the Ice organization on and off the field, representing himself and the Ice in a professional manor at all times. The Colorado Ice would like to thank him for his time with the Ice organization and wish him the best of luck with his future endeavors.
