April 24, 2007 - Continental Indoor Football League (CIFL)
Dayton Silverbacks News Release

Mark Bly earned a first late Tuesday afternoon.

Bly became the first member of the Miami Valley Silverbacks to earn Player of the Week honors in the Continental Indoor Football League.

Bly was named the Offensive Player of the Week after coming on in relief at quarterback during the Silverbacks' 67-29 win over Springfield at Rapid Fire Field at Hobart Arena Saturday night.

While amassing just 69-yards in passing, Bly was a perfect 7-for-7 through the air with five of his strikes accounting for touchdowns. Bly also had one rush for 3-yards as the Silverbacks improved to 2-2 on the season.

The Silverbacks are on the road Saturday at Marion before returning home May 4 against defending champion Port Huron. Tickets are still available at the Hobart Arena ticket office or online at www.silverbacksfootball.com.
