Butler BlueSox News Release

Butler, PA - July 3, 2012 - Butler BlueSox manager Anthony Rebyanski will manage the Eastern Division team at the 2012 Prospect League All-Star Game in Springfield, Illinois on Wednesday.

The All-Star managers are traditionally from the teams who win the first half of the season, however, Tim Epling of the West Virginia is unavailable to coach the game for personal reasons. As the manager of the second place BlueSox, Rebyanski will take on the role.

Butler had their best half season in franchise history in the first half of the summer, going 18-12 to finish second in the Eastern Division. Rebyanski is in his second year as the BlueSox' manager, he has been an assistant head coach at Indiana University of Pennsylvania since 2006. He played professional baseball in the Frontier League after graduating from IUP in 2005.

The BlueSox will be sending six players to the mid-season game this summer, including second baseman Jason Radwan who is the team's first two-time All-Star. Butler pitcher Jared Locke and catcher Matt Albaugh will both start in the game.

Epling coached the game for the East last summer, after the Miners won the Eastern division with a 17-12 record.

The All-Star game will be held at Robin Roberts Stadium in Springfield, Illinois, home of the Springfield Sliders on Wednesday evening. Ryan Anderson of the Dubois County Bombers will coach the Western Division. The division who wins the All-Star game will lock up home field advantage for the championship series in August.
