Bluefish to Hold Anthem Idol Auditions

(Bridgeport, Conn.) - The Bridgeport Bluefish will be holding their annual Anthem Idol Auditions, presented by Progressive Music, at three locations prior to the start of the 2014 season. The first audition will be held at the Westfield Connecticut Post in Milford on Saturday, April 12 from 11 am to 3 pm. The second audition will occur at the Westfield Trumbull on Sunday, April 13 from 11am to 3 pm. The final audition will happen at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard on Tuesday, April 15 from 4 pm to 7 pm.
"We are excited to see many of the talented individuals and groups from Southern Connecticut at these locations," says Bluefish Community Relations & Promotions Manager Marisa Marvin. "These performers will be important in our goal to create an exciting atmosphere at Harbor Yard every game."
Those interested in auditioning and performing at a Bluefish game are asked to send an email to community@bridgeportbluefish.com. In the email, please include your name (or group name and number of group members for anthems), phone number, email address, your preferred tryout location, and age. The title of the email should be "National Anthem Audition." A Bluefish representative will contact all individuals who apply with an audition time for any of these dates. It is highly suggested all participants pre-register so they can avoid the line at each audition.
All contestants will have their opportunity to sing the National Anthem on the field in front of a panel of judges. Performances will be held with a strict two minute time limit. Soloists, groups, and instrumentalists are all invited to perform. Some of the areas of focus for the judges will be on lyrical accuracy, voice quality, presentation, voice projection, time, and overall performance and talent.
