Bluefish Announce 2009 Broadcast Schedule

(Bridgeport, CT - Apr. 13, 2009) - The Bridgeport Bluefish will be offering their fans something brand new during the 2009 season. For the first time ever, all 140 games will be heard via streaming broadcast on www.bridgeportbluefish.com, making Bridgeport Bluefish baseball more accessible and easier to follow than ever before.

Veteran minor league broadcaster Josh Rogol will bring the fun and excitement of every Bluefish game to the fans during the 2009 season. Rogol enters the broadcast booth to begin his third season behind the mic in minor league baseball. A Fairfield Country native, Rogol joins the Bridgeport Bluefish after acting as the on-air talent and Media & Marketing Coordinator with the Montgomery Biscuits (AA - Southern League, 2008) and as the Director of Broadcasting with the Visalia Oaks (Advanced A - California League, 2007). In all Rogol has broadcast a total of 200 professional baseball games over the past two seasons. Josh also worked as an Affiliate Editor/ Producer for NBCOlympics.com during the 2006 Torino Winter Olympic Games. Born and raised in Stamford, CT, he is a graduate of Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism with a degree in Broadcast Journalism. His broadcast experience also includes Division I college football, basketball, baseball and softball.

With the 2009 Atlantic League season only one week away, the Bridgeport Bluefish will head down to Florida to open spring training at the Detroit Tigers' Tiger Town Minor League Spring Training Complex. The club will workout Tuesday and Wednesday before beginning a four-game exhibition schedule on Thursday against the Newark Bears. The Bridgeport Bluefish open the 2009 season at The Ballpark at Harbor Yard on Thursday, April 23, at 7:05 p.m. against the York Revolution. In addition to all the fun and excitement associated with Opening Night, the first 1,500 fans in attendance will receive a Bluefish Logo T-Shirt, courtesy of Island Screenprint.
