BlueCats Host Rough Riders

This Saturday night, the Evansville BlueCats (5-3) will put their perfect unbeaten home record on the line when they welcome the Peoria Rough Riders (2-6) to Roberts Stadium. Kickoff will be at 7:05pm. The BlueCats are on a 5 game home winning streak.
Last weekend, the Evansville BlueCats lost a very close battle with the Sioux Falls Storm in the first overtime game in team and league history. The BlueCats held a 42-39 lead with four seconds to go when Sioux Falls kicker Adam Hicks connected on a game tying field goal to send the game to overtime. In overtime, the Storm scored first and Evansville could not answer as Sioux Falls claimed a 49-42 overtime victory on their home field.
The loss dropped the BlueCats to second place in the UIF South Division, one half game behind the Lexington Horsemen (6-3).
Peoria is coming off a 41-13 loss at home to unbeaten Fort Wayne. Peoria has lost their last 6 games in a row and currently sits in third place in the UIF North Division.
This will be the first ever meeting between these two teams.
This Saturday's game will be your last chance to sign up for the BlueCats bus trips to three upcoming road games. Back the âCats on the road by signing for one or all of the trips to either Tennessee Valley on June 4th, Lexington on July 9th, and Peoria on July 16th. As always fans are invited to show up early and tailgate in the parking lot with your fellow BlueCats fans. The first 2000 fans in the door will receive an official Evansville BlueCats spirit sign. The BlueCats Cheerleaders will be selling their official 2005 poster in the concourse during the game.
