
Blue Wahoos Announce NewsRadio1620 as Flagship Station

PENSACOLA, Fla., - The Pensacola Blue Wahoos are pleased to announce NewsRadio1620 as the team's flagship radio station for 2015. NewsRadio1620 (WNRP-AM) and their sister station CatCountry98.7 (WCTY-FM) are locally owned by Dave and Mary Hoxeng (ADX Communications). NewsRadio1620 will air all 140 games for the 2015 season.
"This is a great chance for Kazoo and the Cat to come together," said team president Jonathan Griffith. "It's an exciting partnership between two Pensacola businesses with deep roots in the community. We are thrilled to provide local on-air coverage of Blue Wahoos baseball to the area through an outstanding and well-respected station."
"We are delighted to be teaming up with Jonathan, Bruce and the Studers to broadcast the Blue Wahoos games to Pensacola," said owner Dave Hoxeng.
Broadcaster Tommy Thrall will return for his fourth season in the radio booth. Thrall, who has been with the team since its inaugural season, has covered 411 games for the Blue Wahoos.
Fans will be able to tune into games on NewsRadio1620 or listen for free at bluewahoos.com and by using the TuneIn Radio app on their mobile, desktop or home devices. Additionally, home games at Pensacola Bayfront Stadium as well as select road games will be available on MiLB.TV, a subscription-based service provided by Minor League Baseball.
