Holyoke, MA - Following two exhibition games played in the friendly confines of MacKenzie Stadium, the Blue Sox hit the road for their first regular season game of 2013.

Holyoke defeated the Utica Brewers 17-1 and the Latino All-Stars 8-6 on Tuesday and Wednesday night, respectively, and now travel to Sanford, Maine for their first game that counts.

The Blue Sox square off with the Mainers tonight at Goodall Park with first pitch set for 6:30 p.m.

The Mainers finished in fourth place in the Eastern Division in 2012 with a 15-26 overall mark to end the season. The Blue Sox went 2-0 against the Mainers in 2012.

This meeting marks the first between the two squads since July 12 where Sanford traveled to Holyoke, losing to the Blue Sox 7-4.

The Blue Sox needed a four-run eighth inning to secure the victory and are looking for another victory against the Mainers in 2013.

After the road game in Sanford tonight, the Blue Sox are back home on Friday to face the Ocean State Waves in their NECBL home opener. First pitch for that game is set for 6:35 p.m. at MacKenzie Stadium.
