Blue Rocks To Feature Record 15 Fireworks Shows

Wilmington, DE - Everyone knows the place to turn for family fun in the First State is Wilmington Blue Rocks baseball. That was confirmed recently when the Blue Crew won the News Journal's reader's choice award as the best place in Delaware to take a kid. With that in mind, for the third straight season, the Rocks will give fans more than just exciting on-field action, but also tons of entertainment outside the lines. And nothing pleases the patrons more than lighting the night sky with a spectacular fireworks show.

Thanks to overwhelming popular demand the Blue Rocks will feature a franchise-record 15 fireworks shows at Frawley Stadium in 2010. The debut act comes on April 16, and the season finale will be on September 4. The most exciting news is that every Friday home game will feature fireworks after the game. Fans should be sure to get their seats early, as these are always the most popular nights of the season. Individual tickets for the 2010 campaign can be purchased starting on Monday, February 15 by phone, at 302-888-BLUE, or online at bluerocks.com.

Still to come this week, the Wilmington Blue Rocks will roll out the rest of their 2010 marketing schedule. On Tuesday, the Blue Crew will announce the entertainment acts that will make their way to Frawley Stadium. On Wednesday, Wilmington will make known its promotional giveaway items for the year, along with its theme nights. And on Thursday, the Blue Rocks will unveil their new ticket specials, and announce community and heritage night dates.

The Blue Rocks will begin the 2010 season on the road on April 8 in Myrtle Beach, SC against the Pelicans (Atlanta Braves). The home opener comes on April 16 at Frawley Stadium this season, as the Blue Crew hosts the Potomac Nationals (Washington Nationals).
