
Blue Racers Topple Bluegrass Warhorses, 52-28

MARION, OH - In the bonus White Out Game in Marion, the Blue Racers defeated the Bluegrass Warhorses 52-28. The team accumulated 210 yards of offense with 58 yards rushing and 152 yards passing. The leading rushers were QB/WR Mike Tatum with 30 yards and one rushing touchdown and RB/DB Bryceson Lawrence with 24 yards and two rushing touchdowns. Tatum was also the starting signal caller at quarterback and, in the passing game, totaled six of nine completions for 155 yards and five touchdowns.
The Offensive MVP Award presented by Burger King was given to WR/QB Seth Stevens who had 2 receptions for 50 yards and 2 receiving touchdowns. The Special Teams MVP Award presented by the IAFF Firefighters was given to RB/DB Bryceson Lawrence who led the team with 83 all purpose yards and 59 receiving yards. The Defensive MVP Award presented by the Fraternal Order of Police was given to DL Thomas McKenzie who accounted for six tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, and one forced fumble. The Big Ugly Award presented by First Choice Tax Service was given to OL/DL JT Haynes who had one tackle for loss for three yards on defense and blocked well on the offensive line.
The next game for Central Ohio's ONLY Pro Football Team will be on the road against the Dayton Sharks at Hara Arena on Saturday, April 5th at 7:30pm.
