Blue Crabs Unveil Top 25 Promotions

For the All-Star Celebration season of Southern Maryland Blue Crabs baseball, the team has made a huge effort to provide more promotions, giveaways, and appearances than ever before! The Blue Crabs will be announcing the top 25 promotions for this season in a five part series. The first part will start with numbers 25-21, and each week after the team will unveil five more, counting down to the top promotion.

No. 25 - Saturday, September 14- Hockey Night, World Record Night, Down Syndrome Awareness Night, Civista Feature Night, Post-Game Fireworks, Post-Game Party On The Field: Get ready to "˜unleash the fury' with the Washington Capitals on Saturday, September 14, for the second annual Hockey Night. The Washington Capital's mascot Slapshot and select players will be in attendance to "˜rock the red' for the last Saturday regular season home game that highlights local youth hockey teams and features a contest for kids with the best "˜hockey smile' and a penalty box photo booth. The Blue Crabs will also attempt to break a new world record and we need your help! Each fan in attendance will receive a complimentary pair of sunglasses as we try to break a new world record for most people wearing sunglasses at the same time with Guinness Book of World Record officials on hand to record the momentous occasion. The game is also Down Syndrome Awareness Night presented by Angels Forever Up and a Civista Feature Night. Don't forget to stay post-game for the last fireworks show during the regular season presented by Winegardner Auto Group and post-game party on the field for your chance to wish Blue Crabs players good luck in the 2013 playoffs!

No. 24 - Friday, July 19- Christmas In July, Southern Maryland Library Night, Flat Screen Friday Giveaway, Post-Game Fireworks: No snow? No Problem! Unwrap all that Christmas has to offer during our annual Christmas in July on Friday, July 19. Santa and Mrs. Claus will stop by to root on the home team, as kids decorate cookies, fans unwrap presents hidden under select seats and local area musical groups sing carols. And what better way to celebrate Christmas then with a 32-inch flat screen TV giveaway on this select Friday in July to one lucky fan in attendance! The Southern Maryland Regional Library Association's summer reading program participants will also be in attendance for Southern Maryland Library night and as with every Friday and Saturday home game of the season, the Blue Crabs will feature post-game fireworks immediately following the game.

No. 23 - Friday, May 17- Social Media Night, Flat Screen Friday Giveaway, Post-Game Fireworks: "˜Like,' "˜tweet,' "˜tumble,' "˜hashtag,' "˜instagram,' whatever! It's time to finally enter the 21st century as the Blue Crabs introduce their first-ever Social Media Night on Friday, May 17. The night will be highlighted by Facebook, Twitter and Instagram giveaways, as well as scavenger hunts across our official social media sites. It's also our second Flat Screen Friday of the year, as one lucky fan will leave the game with more than just a win, they'll also score a 32-inch flat screen TV! After the game fans can stay and relax for a post-game fireworks show.

No. 22 - Saturday, April 27- Magnet Schedule Giveaway, Golf Night, Post-Game Fireworks, Post-Game Party On The Field: One of our most popular giveaways of the year, the first 1,000 fans in attendance will receive a 2013 Blue Crabs regular season magnet schedule presented by Community Bank of Tri-County on Saturday, April 27 of opening weekend. It's also a putter's dream with one lucky golfer's chance to win a tee-time with fellow golf enthusiast, Blue Crabs pitcher Jim Ed Warden, as well as game and equipment tips from local area golf pro shops and courses on the concourse. Winegardner Auto Group will also present post-game fireworks and fans will get their first chance to meet their 2013 Blue Crabs at our first post-game party on the field of the season.

No. 21 - Sunday, June 16- Father's Day At The Ballpark, Prostate Cancer Awareness Night, Chick-fil-A Backfin Buddies Kids Club Free Ticket Sunday Featuring A Full Team Pre -Game Autograph Session With Blue Crabs Players, Free Bumper Boats, Kids Run The Bases And Play For Free In The Blue Crabs Kids Zone: What better way to reward your father than by celebrating Father's Day at the ballpark with post-game catch on the field on Sunday, June 16. The Blue Crabs will recognize Prostate Cancer Awareness Night and it's also a Chick-fil-A Backfin Buddies Kids Club Sunday, in which all kids club members get into every Sunday home game during the season for free. Kids also have an opportunity to ride the bumper boats and play in the Blue Crabs Kids Zone for free, run the bases and take part in a pre-game autograph session with Blue Crabs players.

The next 5 promotions will be announced next Fri day, March 29 and every Fri day thereafter until all 25 promotions have been announced. Individual tickets for the 2013 season will go on sale on Saturday, April 13. All promotions are subject to change.

The Southern Maryland Blue Crabs are a member of the Atlantic League of Professional Baseball, and play at Regency Furniture Stadium in Waldorf, Maryland. The franchise will enter its 6th season on April 18, coming off of the team's fourth consecutive playoff appearance . The Blue Crabs and Regency Furniture Stadium will also host the 2013 Atlantic League All-Star Celebration Featuring Circurious on Tuesday, July 9 presented by Turkey Hill, as well as the 2013 Atlantic League All-Star Game Presented by The Communities of St. Charles on Wednesday, July 10.
