The Bloomington Blaze, fueled by Mid-Illini Credit Union, bring a four-game winning streak into their final home game until February 9 on Tuesday before departing for a weekend trip to the Lone Star State.

Friday, Jan. 18- @Blaze 6, Denver Cutthroats 4

--The Blaze scored a franchise-best five goals in the second period and held on for the win, led by 2 goals and 1 assist from Nicklas Lindberg.

Saturday, Jan. 19- @Blaze 3, Fort Worth Brahmas 1

--An intense game was scoreless until late in the second period on a Matthew Larke goal, with the game-winner coming an unassisted goal by Jon Booras with 6:15 remaining.

Tuesday, Jan. 22, 7:05 p.m.- Denver Cutthroats at Blaze

Friday, Jan. 25, 7:30 p.m.- Blaze at Fort Worth Brahmas

--The Blaze earned their first-ever win over the Brahmas on Saturday in the only meeting this season.

Saturday, Jan. 26, 7:05 p.m.- Blaze at Allen Americans

--The first-place Americans beat the Blaze 5-4 in a shootout on Nov. 13 in Bloomington.

Streaking: The Blaze are on their longest winning streak since a five-game run that began with the season's second game. It's also the longest current winning streak in the CHL. The Blaze only have two losing streaks this season, two games on Dec. 1 and 6 (Rapid City and Missouri) and three games on Dec. 29 and 31 and Jan. 4 (all Arizona).

Stat sheet, that great sheet: The Blaze lead several team and individual statistical categories. Jon Booras is tied for second in the CHL in scoring with Denver's A.J. Gale with 51 points (18 goals, 33 assists. The Blaze top the league in goals (144), assists (247) and points (391) and have the top power play (26.7 percent). The Blaze are tops in the CHL with 33.4 shots per game but last in shots given up with 35.7.

Travelin' men: The Blaze begin the season's longest road swing, a six-game stretch, after Tuesday's home game. The Blaze make their only visit to Texas this weekend for a Friday game with the Fort Worth Brahmas and a Saturday night contest at league-leading Allen.

After a Tuesday visit to Quad City, the Blaze make their second visit to Denver for games on Feb. 2 and 3, then a Feb. 8 game at Quad City before finally returning home Feb. 9 to face QC.

Junior Blaze update: The Junior Blaze are on a run of their own as they carry a five-game winning streak into games on Friday and Saturday at Rhinelander, Wisconsin. The Junior Blaze swept three home games last weekend over the Holland River Bandits by scores of 4-2, 8-5 and 8-7. The Junior Blaze are 19-10-1 and are in fourth place in the Midwest Junior Hockey League.
