
Blizzard Sign Defensive Back Nijul Canada

Nijul Canada (6' 1", 190 lbs.) joins the Blizzard for his rookie season in the IFL following a collegiate career at both Arkansas-Pine Bluff and Lane College.
Nijul was on the same Golden Lions roster at Arkansas-Pine Bluff in 2017 as Blizzard veteran DB Shawn Steele II. As a true Freshman, Canada appeared in 9 games and registered 23 tackles, 3 INT, and 1 PBU.
Nijul would later transfer to Lane College, a Division II program in Jackson, TN. There, he would appear in 20 games for the Dragons, posting 114 total tackles, 7 TFLs, 0.5 Sack, 3 INTs (one of which was returned for a TD), 10 PBUs, 3 forced fumbles, and 1 fumble recovery. Canada earned Firstst Team All-SIAC (Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference) honors after his Redshirt-Senior season.
"First and foremost, I want to give praises to God for blessing me with the opportunity to continue chasing my dream," Nijul said recently about his new opportunity in Green Bay.
