
Blizzard Attend NAHL Showcase

Brookings Blizzard News Release
The Blizzard began the NAHL Showcase with a 2-1 victory over the Aston Rebels. Durment and Gamelin put the Blizzard on the baord, which Josh Kuehmichel saved 34 of 35 shots for his first NAHL victory. On Thursday the team fell to the Johnstown Tomahawks 4-0. Hancock had 35 saves. The Blizzard had another victory on Friday in a 4-2 win over Wilkes Barre. Goals were scored by Elmore, Samec, Busch, and Hutchins and Kuehmichel had 17 saves. Fairbanks took a 3-1 victory over Brookings in the final game of the NAHL Showcase. Durment had the goal while Kuehmichel had 35 saves.
Brookings (4-2) finished 2-2 in the Showcase and are tied for first place with Minot in the Central Division. The Blizzard play at home on Friday night against the Austin Bruins - puck drops at 7:30PM and the first 300 fans receive a complimentary Blizzard Rally Towel!
