
Blitz Weekly Q&A Session Will Feature Wallace, Robinson, Crowder and Turner

BAKERSFIELD - Blitz weekly Q&A session will feature DS, Alex Wallace, DB, Joshua Robinson, WR/LB, Darnell Crowder, and OL/DL, Jerry Turner. Head Coach Gary Compton will also be available for interviews. The Q&A session will be held on Tuesday, May 9, at 2:00 p.m. at the Blitz office, 515 Truxtun Ave.
The Blitz returned home on Saturday with a 52-20 victory over the Spokane Shock. Saturday's win brings the team to a record of 4-1, with a current first place standing in the National West division. The Blitz team will be playing at home this week when they take on the Rio Grande Valley Dorados on Saturday, May 13. Kick off is set for 7:00 p.m. at the Rabobank Arena.
Recently named af2's ADT Defensive Player of the Week, Alex Wallace received a second award for his great defense in last Saturday's game against Spokane. Wallace, who attended San Jose State, ended the game with 4 tackles, an interception in the fourth quarter, and was named the Defensive Player of the Game.
Defensive back and Idaho State graduate, Joshua Robinson, helped hold Spokane back with his great performance on the defense side. Robinson had an interception at the end of the second quarter with 25 return yards.
Wide receiver/line backer, Darnell Crowder, was also a great contribution to the Blitz defense in Saturday's game. Crowder, who attended New Mexico Highlands College, had one tackle, 13 receiving yards, and an interception with 6 return yards in their victory over Spokane.
NFL bound, Jerry Turner, is always consistent on the defense side. Turner, who graduated from Tennessee Tech. University, had two tackles and one sack for 8 yards in Saturday's night win.
These Q&A sessions will be held every Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Blitz office. For future sessions please forward a list of at least three requested players that we can have available for interviews.
Season tickets for the Blitz 2006 season are still on sale, as well as single game tickets.
