Blitz Finish the Regular Season with Victory over Everett, 47-42

The game opened with a penalty on the Blitz allowing the Hawks to get a first down and a 33-yard touchdown by WR/LB, Deontrae Johnson (PAT - Good). The Blitz responded with a 2-yard rushing touchdown by WR/DB, DeRonn Finley (PAT - Good). The Hawks QB, Brian Baker had trouble connecting with a wide receiver, especially after Blitz OL/DL Daniel Kegler's sack. However, in the next play Baker connected with Johnson for a 30-yard pass for his second touchdown of the game (PAT - Good). Blitz had another touchdown, WR/DB Nathan Munson's 5-yard rush. As the quarter came to an end, OL/DL Jerry Turner had a sack ending the quarter at Blitz 13, Hawks 14.

The Hawks were first to score in the second quarter with a 33-yard touchdown pass to OS, J.R. Thomas (PAT - Good). Not long after, Neist connected with OS Rennard Reynolds for a 24-yard touchdown (PAT - Good). Interception leader of the af2, Alex Wallace had his first interception of the game, stealing a touchdown pass from Baker. The second turnover of the game was WR/DB Shawndel Tucker's interception directly followed by a 25-yard touchdown by Reynolds (PAT - Good). The second quarter ended at Blitz 27, Hawks 21.

After ten minutes of no scoring, the Hawks were first to gather points with a 29-yard touchdown pass to Thomas at 5:00 (PAT - Good). The Blitz responded with Neist running in a 1-yard touchdown (PAT - good). The third quarter ended at Blitz 34, Hawks 28.

Immediately in the fourth quarter Thomas scored a 45-yard touchdown for the Hawks. The Blitz were up next when Neist connected with Munson in the end zone for a 6-yard touchdown. The Blitz failed to get the ball in the end zone on a 2 point conversion attempt. On the defense side, Jerry Turner tipped the ball which then landed into the hands of Wallace for his second interception of the game. The game was secured for the Blitz when WR/LB Eric Mahanke caught a pass in the end zone which was intended for Reynolds (PAT - Good). With hopes to finish with a close-scoring game, the Hawks gathered points when Johnson caught a 37-yard touchdown pass in the end zone (PAT - Good). But it wasn't enough to beat the Blitz. The game ended at Blitz 47, Hawks 42.
