Blitz Community Caravan Begins Monday

BAKERSFIELD, CA - The 2007 Bakersfield Blitz Caravan is the team's new and exciting way for our players, coaches, mascots and cheerleaders to interact with students in the community. Our Crusher Crew will be visiting various elementary, junior high, and high schools in Bakersfield and Kern County.
The Bakersfield Blitz will begin their Community Caravan on Monday, April 16th at Downtown Elementary School (2021 M St., Bakersfield, CA, 93301) from 8:30-9:30 a.m. Later, members of the Blitz will stop by Ronald Reagan Elementary School (10800 Rosslyn Ln., Bakersfield, CA 93311) from 12:30-2:00 p.m.
The caravan continues on Tuesday, April 17th with stops at Planz Elementary School (2400 Planz Rd. Bakersfield, CA 93304) from 2:30-3:30 p.m. and Olliver Middle School (7310 Monitor St. Bakersfield, CA 93307) from 3:30-4:30 p.m.
During our visits, the Crusher Crew will be encouraging students of all ages to stay in school, get good grades, attend college, stay away from drugs, gangs and violence, and develop a healthy and active lifestyle.
We will be handing out our new Crusher Cards to all students during the Blitz Community Caravan. The Crusher Card not only has fun facts about our mascot, but is also a coupon for a free ticket to one of the team's eight home games in 2007, if accompanied by an adult.
At the end of our visit our players will have the opportunity to sign autographs, take pictures, and answer any questions that the students might be dying to ask! The Blitz Community Caravan is a great way for students to meet successful local professional football players who may be able to serve as role models in their lives.
