The Chicago Blaze improved to 12-4 Thursday evening as they defeated the Springfield Spirit 78-60. The Spirit down 38-32 at the half, went ice-cold in the second half as they scored two field goals in the first 15 minutes of the second half. The Spirit finished the second half a woeful 5-21 and finished the game on 13-49 shooting.
The Blaze were led by Tamika Catchings (University of Tennessee) and Felecity Willis (University of Arizona) who each finished with 11 points. Misi Clark (Southern Illinois Edwardsville) added 10.
The Spirit were led by Rita Williams (WNBA Indiana Fever) and Alissa Murphy (Boston College) who each finished with 11 points.
The Blaze next travel to Kansas City to face the Legacy on Saturday before returning home to finish the regular season with a three game home stand March 21st - 24th.
