Blaze Players to Teach Football Skills to Local Youth

SALT LAKE CITY - Athletes attending the USA Elite Football Training program will have the benefit of learning first-hand from professional athletes, as several Utah Blaze players will be attending the nine-week training program as coaches.
QB Tommy Grady, WR Aaron Lesué, DL Caesar Rayford, DB David Hyland and LB Joe Mortensen will all be on hand to teach position-specific skills and techniques to athletes ranging from grades 8 through 12. The two-hour training sessions begin this Saturday, January 5th and run through Sunday, March 3rd.
USA Elite Football Training is a comprehensive football skills enhancement program for athletes who want to fine tune their mechanics, increase their practice and game performance, develop a stronger mental acuity, and enhance leadership and life skills that will prepare them to succeed not only at the next level, but in life.
The program is designed to improve specific skills related to playing football, focusing on throwing mechanics, catching techniques, cover reads, and zone reads. The goal is to develop the player's football knowledge and technique on both offense and defense.
"I'm happy our players have the opportunity to relay their expertise to our community's youth," said Head Coach Ron James. "Football teaches young adults values that allow them to succeed outside of the spectrum of football. The lessons of mental strength, teamwork and leadership that are instilled on the gridiron lead to success in all avenues of life."
