Blaze Add Four Players

SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah Blaze are pleased to announce the signings of DB Olukayode Oredugba (6-1, 195, UCLA), OL Raushan Rowser (6-4, 310, Tennessee State), WR Chris Hemphill (6-5, 225, Washington) and OL/FB LaRoi Johnson (6-4, 260, Malone) for the 2011 season.

"Signing these four players adds a great mixture of experience from last year's roster and adds depth for this upcoming season," said Blaze Head Coach Ron James.

Oredugba returns to the Blaze after joining the team for the final two games of the season. Prior to the AFL, he spent time with the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL and Stockton Lightning of the af2. Oredugba played collegiately at UCLA.

With the Blaze in 2010, Rowser played in all sixteen games, serving on the offensive line. He spent the entire season with the Rio Grande Valley Dorados of the af2 in 2009. In fourteen games in 2008, he was a part of an offensive line that allowed the second fewest sacks (14). Rowser spent three seasons with Tennessee State University as an offensive lineman, where he played in 25 games for the Tigers from 2004-07. Hemphill spent his rookie season with the Orlando Predators in 2010. Prior to joining the Predators, he was a part of the Tri-City Fever of the af2. He played collegiately at the University of Washington.

Johnson most recently played with San Angelo Stampede Express of the IFL. His indoor experience includes stints with the Marion Mayhem (CIFL), Rock River Raptors (CIFL), Albany Firebirds (af2), Kentucky Horsemen (af2) and Canton Legends (AIFA). Tryouts for the 2011 season will be held on October 30, 2010 from 10 a.m. - 2 p.m. at Spence Eccles Field House at the University of Utah.
