Blaze acquire OL/DL Hamilton, Walls from KC Brigade
March 23, 2006 - Arena Football League (1987-2008) (AFL I)
Utah Blaze News Release
SALT LAKE CITY - The Utah Blaze announced the acquisition of OL/DL AARON HAMILTON (6-5, 300, Tarleton State) and OL/DL MATT WALLS (6-4, 320, Benedictine College) from Kansas City in exchange for OL/DL BRYAN HENDERSON (6-5, 285, NW Oklahoma).
"We are excited to add some depth to the line," said Blaze head coach/general manager DANNY WHITE. "Both Aaron (Hamilton) and Matt (Walls) are quality additions to this team. You hate to lose a guy like Bryan (Henderson), but I think both teams benefited from this trade."
Hamilton recorded 8.5 total tackles, 1.5 sacks and recovered a fumble in eight games for the Brigade in 2006, while Walls has tallied 2.5 total tackles in three games. The Blaze also released OL/DL BERNARD HOLSEY and DS SULLIVAN BEARD to make it under the AFL's 24-man roster limit.
Tickets for Friday's game against the Western Division rival, Las Vegas Gladiators, are available at www.utahblaze.com, the Delta Center box office, by calling Ticketmaster at (801) 325-SEAT or at all Ticketmaster outlets. The game can be seen on KJZZ (Ch. 14) or heard on 1280 The Zone.
