Blast Welcome Sarah Fisher and Billy Boat for Brickyard-Indy 500 Night

INDIANAPOLIS-The Indiana Blast partner up with the Indy 500 and the Brickyard Crossing Hotel this Friday night, May 10th, to present "Brickyard-Indy 500 night." The gates open at Kuntz Memorial Stadium, located at 1502 W. 16th Street, at 6:30pm. Sarah Fisher will be on hand for an autograph session once the gates open. Both Sarah Fisher and Billy Boat will participate in the coin toss. Billy Boat will stay through halftime to continue signing autographs. The Blast kick-off at 7:35pm against the Portland Timbers for the first evening home game of the season. Friday's game also marks the Blast Annual "Soccer Mom Night," with free carnations for all the moms, compliments of Hill Floral.

LAST WEEK-The Blast lost a heart breaker last Friday morning to the Milwaukee Rampage. In double overtime, former Blast player Jeremy Aldrich scored the game-winning goal in the 103rd minute to give the Rampage a 3-2 advantage over the Blast. Rodrigo Costa scored both of the Blast's goals to give him three goals for the season in just three games.

THIS WEEK-After taking the weekend off, the Blast are back at practice the entire week at Cumberland Park in Fishers. Training sessions are open to both the public and the media. Contact the MorSports, Inc. office to confirm training sites and times.

UPCOMING MATCHES-The Blast play host to the Portland Timbers this Friday, May 10th at 7:35pm at Kuntz Memorial Stadium located at 1502 W. 16th Street. The Blast are home again on Friday, May 17th at 7:35pm against the Minnesota Thunder in the first game of Open Cup qualifications. It's "White Castle Tailgate Party" night, so come hungry.

RECENT SIGNINGS-The Blast are eagerly awaiting the arrival of one of their most anticipated signings of the off-season. Mexican sensation Enrique Camarena will be arriving in Indianapolis as soon as his VISA is processed. Camarena has played with prominent clubs such as Queratero and Leon of the Mexican First Division. The 28 year-old forward will be a scoring threat on the already offensively minded Blast team.

BLAST SCOUT NIGHT-The Blast will be honoring Scouts at their upcoming match on Friday, May10th, at 7:35pm. Gates open at 6:30pm. Scouts will participate in the player tunnel preceding the game and have the opportunity to take a shot on goal against a Blast goalie during half-time. Discounted tickets are available.
