INDIANAPOLIS, IN- In what is considered to be one of the boldest moves of the 2003 season, if not in Blast history, Blast President Kim Morris has opened the floodgates to this year's home opener on May 9th by announcing that "This one's on us!" That's right, at 7:35pm the Blast will kick off against intra-divisional rival the El Paso Patriots and anyone and everyone can get in to watch the game for FREE!!
"Just decided to roll out the season in a really BIG way! It's been a tough year for a lot of folks and this is our way of saying forget your worries and just come have some fun with the Blast," states Morris.
The game doubles as the first leg of qualifying for the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup. In 2002, the Blast went 1-1 against the Patriots who have moved from the Pacific Division to the Central division for the 2003 season.
All games are played at Kuntz Memorial Stadium located at 1502 W. 16th Street. Kuntz Stadium is an Indy Parks facility.
