Blades Look to Take out Hitmen Friday Night

Tonight... The Saskatoon Blades will look to build on their win on Wednesday night in Edmonton as they visit the winless Calgary Hitmen. It's stop #3 on the 4-game road swing having gone 1-1 so far on the trip. Last season the Blades went 2-1-1-0 against the Hitmen. This is the first of four meetings this season and they'll meet again two more times this month... the Blades enter with a +7 goal differential while the Hitmen are at -7. Calgary is still searching for their first win of the season despite going undefeated in the pre-season.

The opponent... The Calgary Hitmen have underachieved so far this season earning just one point in their first four games. They haven't played since Sunday at home when they fell 6-5 in overtime to the Red Deer Rebels. 2017 WHL Champion goaltender Carl Stankowski was acquired by the Hitmen in the off-season from Seattle, and has started 3 of the 4 games this season for Calgary. The offense is lead by veteran Jake Kryski who has 4 goals and 5 points, captain Mark Kastelic is close behind with 4 points.

Who's hot... Kirby Dach has 4 goals and 12 points through 6 games, including 5 in his last 2 outings. Eric Florchuk scored twice on Wednesday giving him 7 points on the year... Dawson Davidson has 6 points in his last 3 games.
