Blackwood Named to USL Team of the Week After Two-Goal Week 14

PEORIA, Ariz. - The United Soccer League announced today that Arizona United Soccer Club forward Tyler Blackwood has been named to the USL Team of the Week. Blackwood received the honors following a two-goal Week 14, scoring Arizona's only goals in back-to-back 1-1 draws against Rio Grande Valley Fc and Sacramento Republic FC.

Blackwood becomes the third Arizona United player this season to receive Team of the Week honors. Last week, Long Tan was named to the Week 13 team of the week. Midfielder Luke Rooney was named to the team of the week on April 19 and midfielder Sam Garza received honorable mention honors the week of May 9.

Arizona United is on the road this Friday, July 1, against Tulsa Roughnecks FC. Fans can head to the team's official watch party at the Rose and Crown Pub in downtown Phoenix (628 E Adams Street) at 5:00 P.M. The match kicks off at 5:30 P.M.
