Black-Out The Jungle This Saturday Night

COLUMBUS, GA (April 13, 2010) - The Columbus Lions (1-1) of the Southern Indoor Football League are preparing for a "Black-Out" at the Columbus Civic Center this Saturday night as get set to host the North Georgia Bulldogs for "Domestic Violence Awareness Night."

In cooperation with Hope Harbour shelter, Mary Kay, and Women's Mighty in Spirit, the Columbus Hope Harbour is a non-profit organization that provides shelter for women and their children who find themselves homeless as a direct result of physical abuse and domestic violence. Did you know that domestic violence is the number one leading cause of death of women in the workplace or that one in four women experience domestic violence during their lifetime?

In attempt to "Black-Out" The Jungle, the Lions will be giving away black t-shirts to the first 1,000 fans in attendance. For the game, the Lions will be donning black jersey's which will be auctioned off immediately following the game. All proceeds from the jersey auction will go directly to Hope Harbour.
