
Black Bears Announce 2018 Playing Schedule Baseball

(Granville, WV)- The West Virginia Black Bears have announced their playing schedule for the 2018 regular season, which will begin on Opening Day- Friday, June 15, 2018 against the Mahoning Valley Scrappers at Eastwood Field.
The home opener will be on Thursday, June 21, 2018 against the State College Spikes at Monongalia County Ballpark.
The fourth season of Black Bears baseball will include six weekends at Monongalia County Ballpark and five Friday Fireworks nights among a 38-game home schedule. A complete 2018 schedule can be found at WestVirginiaBlackBears.com.
2018 Season Tickets are on sale now at the Box Office of by calling 304-293-7653. The best value at the ballpark, season tickets cost as low as $304 and can be reserved right now for only a $50 deposit.
The Black Bears will incorporate several celebrations into their schedule this season. The most notable will be the July 4th celebrations with a three-game series against the Williamsport Crosscutters from July 4-6.The Black Bears are home for six games in June, fifteen in July, fourteen in August and three in September. They will cap off the season at home with a three-game series against Mahoning Valley on September 1-3.
Their schedule features 76 games including 38 at Monongalia County Ballpark and 38 on the road. They will host six New York-Penn League opponents in 2018 including Batavia (Marlins), State College (Cardinals), Mahoning Valley (Indians), Williamsport (Phillies), Auburn (Nationals),and Brooklyn (Mets). The 2018 New York-Penn League All-Star Game will be hosted by the State College Spikes in Ebensburg, PA on August 13-14.
