TODAY'S GAME: Tonight, the Buffalo Bisons host the Lehigh Valley Iron Pigs for game two of a four-game series at Dunn Tire Park (7:05 p.m.). Last night the Herd took game one of the series, 5-1. The Herd is coming off two consecutive two-game splits (Rochester, Pawtucket) to open this eight-game homestand that began on August 14. On the mound this evening for the Herd is LHP Scott Lewis. Lewis debuted for the Bisons last Thursday versus Rochester after being called up from Double-A and allowed four earned runs in four innings. Lehigh Valley will counter with RHP Carlos Carrasco.

VIC-TORY!: Tonight, the Bisons will be welcoming another Cleveland Indians star in C Victor Martinez. Martinez joins the Herd on a major league rehab start after being placed on the disabled list June 12 with an elbow injury. Before going on the DL, Martinez was batting .278 with 11 doubles and 21RBI in 54 games for the Tribe. A two-time American League All-Star, Martinez last appeared in a Bisons uniform in 2003 and hit .328 with 7 home runs and 45RBI in 73 games.

BISONS GET PRONK: DH Travis Hafner joined the team last night on a major league rehab assignment, going 2-3 at the plate. He had a double off the wall in the second inning and singled in the fifth. The DH has been out of Cleveland's lineup since May 25 nursing a sore right shoulder. Hafner is expected to be out of the lineup tonight, but will continue his rehab assignment on Wednesday.

RECORD SETTING: Last night, OF Jason Cooper tied Buffalo Baseball Hall of Famer C Tom Prince for most games played (400) in a Bisons uniform in the Modern Era. In yesterday's game Cooper also became the second Bison in the Modern Era to record 80 doubles. Other notable categories Cooper ranks in the Bisons Modern Era are 2nd in RBI (218), 3rd in walks (167), T3rd in triples (18), 4th in runs (202), and 6th in hits (322) and home runs (49).

ALL-STAR EFFORTS: LHP Rich Rundles is now tied for third in games among International League pitchers with 49. The Bisons mid-season All-Star, Rundles has not allowed a run in his last 10 appearances (7.1IP). In fact, the southpaw has not allowed a hit while striking out five in his last five outings (4.0IP).
