The Arena Football League Writers Association has named Rampage QB Michael Bishop their Player of the Week after his 412 total yards and eight touchdown performance against the Austin Wranglers last Saturday night.

Bishop completed 20-of-32 passes for 337 yards with eight scores and an interception, while added another 75 on the ground in a losing effort. He becomes the first Rampage player ever to earn AFLWA Player of the Week honors.

The former Heisman Trophy runner up leads the AFL in rushing with 175 yards; is the top AFL Fantasy player by 27 points per game to the #2 player; and is the highest rated QB in the fourth quarter this season (149.8).

This Sunday, Bishop leads the AFL's #2 offensive unit and #1 rushing attack against the Columbus Destroyers, who give up the most yards on the ground in the AFL, at Van Andel Arena for a 3:00pm showdown. Following the game, there will be a post-game Praise & Gospel Music concert featuring Majestic Praise, Lighthouse Full Life Center Church Choir with Pastor Marvin Sapp, the Voices of GVSU and the Calvin College Gospel Choir. Each group will be performing for about 20-30 minutes.

The game is also a Sunday Family Four-Pack opportunity and costs $49 for 4 tickets, 4 Subway value meals, and a parking pass. Tickets can be purchased at Meijer locations and the Zone located at the Van Andel Arena.
