Birmingham Steel Announce Second Set Of Tryouts

The Birmingham Steel of the Continental Basketball League (CBL) have announced a second set of tryouts for their inaugural campaign. Team Owner/Coach Richard Ashmon made the announcement on Monday.
Tryouts will be held Sunday April 18th at Jackson-Olin High School located at 1300 Avenue F in Birmingham. Registration for the tryout starts at 5:45 pm with the tryout starting at 6:30. The cost to tryout is $50.00. Prior to the tryout, interested players must submit a bio complete with playing experience, stats (if available) and references. Interested players can submit their bios to Mr. Ashmon at rashmon@steelbasketball.com.
Ashmon says of the tryout, "We had great success during our first tryout and hope to have the same on the 18th. We have a few roster spots available so the competition is going to be tough. Players need to bring their "A" game so they can have a shot at making the Opening Day roster."
The Continental Basketball League is a five team league based in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. The league has teams in Birmingham, Savannah, GA; Wilmington, NC; Marietta, GA and Fayetteville, NC.
