St. Louis, MO ~ The St. Louis SkyHawks joyfully announce the arrival of their newest member, “Swoop”, to their 2002 inaugural season in the United States Basketball League (USBL). Swoop makes his debut this Saturday, March 30 at the St. Louis Galleria VI Cinemas at 1:30 p.m.

A 6’8”, 195 pound feather-weight, Swoop was the #1 draft pick out of a flock of mascot hopefuls. He was selected by the twinkle in his eye and his ability to throw down a two-winged jam at the top of the St. Louis Arch.

A fun-loving, feathered friend to kids of all ages, Swoop will help the SkyHawks soar to new heights through his enthusiasm and love of the game. In addition to his hoop dreams, Swoop intends to fly through St. Louis as a major player in several soon to be announced community projects.

To view Swoop in action prior to his first appearance, fans can now visit the SkyHawks new website, Designed by Brainstorm, Inc., the site features an animated flash intro of Swoop at his best. Created to be user-friendly, the site allows fans a direct outlet to the SkyHawks players, coaches and dance team.

Don’t miss out the opportunity to meet Swoop, the newest member of the SkyHawks 2002 roster, this Saturday, March 30 at the St. Louis Galleria VI Cinemas. Swoop will be in the house from 1:30 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
