
Billy Thomas Comes Back to Colorado

DENVER, Jan. 10, 2008 - The Colorado 14ers today announced the re-acquisition of guard Billy Thomas. After receiving a Gatorade Call-Up to the New Jersey Nets on December 24, Thomas was waived on Monday and cleared NBA waivers yesterday. Thomas is expected to be available when the 14ers play host to the Tulsa 66ers in Broomfield tonight.
Thomas, a 6-5, 225-pound veteran from Kansas returns to the 14ers after playing in four games with the New Jersey Nets during his call-up. Billy averaged 2.0 minutes and 0.5 points per game in New Jersey. In 12 games with the Colorado this season, Thomas is averaging 14.9 points, 4.1 rebounds, 4.7 assists, and 2.4 steals per game.
Thomas replaces Brandon Dean on the 14ers roster, which now stands at ten players.
