Sioux Falls Storm News Release

The Sioux Falls Storm is pleased to welcome the Billings Outlaws and the River City (St. Louis, MO) Rage to the UIF. Both franchises have officially been approved to join for the 2007 season. Both teams are established franchises and are making the move up to the UIF effective immediately.

The Billings Outlaws won their league championship in 2006 and had a regular season record of 13-1. The Outlaws just completed their sixth season of play. The River City Rage also posted a 13-1 regular season record in 2006. The Rage lost at home in their league's semi-final game. The Rage is an incredible 24-7 over the last two seasons.

Strom President Colin Steen says, "We are extremely excited with the addition of Billings and St. Louis. Billings is no stranger to our Storm fans and they have a great tradition of indoor football. River City's record speaks for itself, but most importantly, both ownership groups are class acts and a perfect fit for our UIF family."

The 2006 United Indoor Football (UIF) League Meetings have been set for September 28-October 1 in Chicago, IL. Storm President Colin Steen and team Vice President Ryan Rickert will represent the Storm at the annual gathering. This year's meetings will provide team officials the opportunity to discuss league business and expansion, meet with vendors, and share ideas with each other.

The meetings will have information for team General Managers, Directors, Operators, and front office personnel. The league will also take this opportunity to recognize outstanding performance during the 2006 season. Awards that will be presented include: Best Game Day Presentation, Play-By-Play Broadcaster of the Year, Mascot of the Year, and Executive of the Year.
