
Bighorns to be represented well at all-star weekend

February 11th, Reno--Antonio Meeking, forward for the Reno Bighorns, will be playing for the Blue Team in the third annual NBA D-League All-Star Game taking place on Center Court at NBA All-Star Jam Session presented by adidas as part of NBA All-Star festivities in Phoenix, Arizona Saturday, February 14th.
Meeking has been an integral part of the team in its inaugural season, starting all twenty nine games for the Bighorns. Meeking also leads the Bighorns in points and rebounds with 530 points and 238 rebounds to date. While leading the team in these categories Meeking has averaged close to a double-double this season with 18.3 ppg and 8.2 rpg.
Bighorn Forward Patrick Ewing Jr. has been selected to take part in the second annual NBA D-League Dream Factory Friday Night, the NBA D-Leagues Skills Competition, as a contestant in the Slam Dunk Contest. During his collegiate career at Georgetown, Ewing finished as the runner up in the 2008 NCAA Slam Dunk Competition. Ewing has averaged 16 ppg and 8.5 rpg for the Bighorns this season.
The NBA D-League All-Star game can be seen live on NBA TV Saturday, February 14, tip-off is at 2 p.m. mountain time.
